With hundreds (if not thousands) of sharing plugins to choose from it can be a daunting task to find one that not only works but does so intuitively. Perhaps you were one that didn’t have any problems. However, I don’t think my experience is unique. This post is for those that share(d) my frustration.
I tried sociable and other plugins but at this point have settled in on Tweet This. At first I thought I needed two plugins because Tweet This sounds like a Twitter only plugin, right? To my pleasant surprise it has nice button options and multiple services available. It also shortens the url for the users (a vital option).
Two concerns present themselves when talking about WordPress and Social Media.
One is my need to post articles on Facebook and Twitter. I have tried plugins to post them automatically but as you know things have changed with Facebook and Twitter several times. I found that more time has been wasted searching for possible solutions when a quick Tweet This would have been quicker and less painful. I still plan to look for the easiest solution but for the present I am waiting for the best plugin to surface (hopefully some of you may relate and pass on some useful info).
Second is perhaps the most important. Ease of use for the readers who want to post to their Twitter or Facebook accounts. Like me they don’t want long urls posting to these sites, especially Twitter. Tweet This gives good flexibility, nice looking buttons and is easy to setup. What more can you ask for?
